Total Lunar Eclipse on 10 Dec 2011 |
The total Lunar eclipse on 10 Dec 2011 was an unusually phenomenon for observers in Bulgaria. In the moment of sunset the Moon rises on the horizon obscured by Earth’s shadow.

The last 4 minute of the totality the Moon was absolutely invisible because the twilight was too bright. In the first moment after the totality (Fig.2), the moon appeared as a thin eyebrow above the horizon. Next more than an hour the moon slowly finks from the Earth’ shadow.
