Eruption of a solar prominence on South-West solar limb. Images are taken on 06 June 2011 for about 40 minutes between 5:00 and 6:40 UT.

An eruptive prominence occurred at the bottom of huge magnetic system that an hour later produced CME. The prominence eruption was registered on 5 May 1980 in Astronomical Institute of University of Wroclaw, Poland by Prof. Bogdan Rompolt.

 
A probable reconnection of the magnetic field in the leg of a quiescent prominence took place.
The process of magnetic reconnection most probably initiates a partial eruption of the prominence. The prominence eruption was registered in Astronomical Institute of University of Wroclaw, Poland by Prof. Bogdan Rompolt.
